Spring Fling

Spring, yeah! If you are like me and most of the people I know, you can’t wait for the cold dark winter to end and spring to begin. Spring, the days are brighter and start to get longer and so much new life begins. The season itself is motivational.  So how about spring cleaning your pantry! If you have been thinking about the things you need to do to be healthier, there is no time like spring! I prefer going to the grocery store when I can get in and out of my car without freezing. I’m certain you don’t want to spend too much time there if it’s finally nice, but if getting healthier is your goal, you won’t need to. We already know the fresh foods can be found around the perimeter of the store so that should cut your shopping time down so you can spend some time taking a walk out of doors. Make a list of the things you really need to have to keep the refrigerator stocked with quick and easy meals and snacks. Fruits and vegetables, salad supplies, lean organic meat is a great choice, real butter. Buy some free range organic eggs, hard boil some for days when you know you will be in a hurry. Brown rice, sweet potatoes, sprouted grain bread, less is more sometimes! Maybe it is time to get a little help with the exercise program too. As a personal trainer I offer the accountability and encouragement you need to put into practice what you already know YOU WANT to do. You are worth investing money and time in your health. I always say prevention is the best medicine. I will help you make the lasting changes that I believe can make you feel better about yourself than you ever have before. No better time than spring to get started.

Though I attend several of her classes, where Darla truly shines is as a personal trainer and
health coach. She saw where I was, and helped me to get where I wanted to be, even though I
wasn’t sure I was communicating it clearly. After just a year my Dr. was amazed to report my
bone density had improved, and my overall health was enhanced. Darla keeps training fresh,
challenging, and enjoyable; and she is always supportive and encouraging. During this time of
sheltering I have been continuing my training sessions via Skype, and her eagle eye doesn’t
miss a thing…still correcting my form and pushing me to go beyond where I thought I could go.
Thank you doesn’t seem nearly enough for someone who got me back on a positive health track
that has enriched body, mind and spirit. But thank you anyway, Darla.
