Common Sense
Posted in Exercise, Fitness, Food, General, Health, NutritionCommon sense is your friend! When it comes to health and fitness remembering basic fundamentals and applying them is most important. For instance when I was a kid eating was all about the four basic food groups. Now there is the pyramid from the RDA and a lot of other information about what is good and bad, it can be confusing. But if you stick with BALANCE and stay as close to the origin of a food you will do fine. Moderation and regularity are two important common sense rules. Soda, ice cream and pizza all in one day should not be considered moderation!
Using the same common sense rule for exercise. Don’t over complicate the plan. Make time, find time, do something. Do something you enjoy. Gardening counts, dancing counts, washing the car and house chores all use energy. Try not to sit for more than an hour without getting up and stretching walking around. Some other things are necessary for optimal results, but remember anything is always better than nothing!
