Benefits of a well balanced life

The benefits of eating well and exercising regularly and getting rest far outweigh the alternatives.  If we are burning our candle at both ends, eating on the go and never getting enough restful sleep, eventually we are going to crash and burn.  Quality proteins, I believe best from animal sources, fresh cooked and raw vegetables, minimally processed whole grains, good water, fresh fruit in season and good fats, including butter can make for a healthy body that can give you a life with energy.  Not leaving out how important exercise is, cardio, resistance training and stretching and their benefits for stress reduction, building bone density, maintaining muscle mass and an efficient cardio respiratory system…also equal energy and vitality. Rest, a really good sleep so your vital organs and systems can rebuild and be restored. Fun and laughter and thankfulness…that is the mind on the right track! The alternative, aches, pains, tiredness, irritability, etc!  Let’s not wait until the new year to resolve to make a plan for a well balanced life.. Though I attend several of her classes, where Darla truly shines is as a personal trainer and
health coach. She saw where I was, and helped me to get where I wanted to be, even though I
wasn’t sure I was communicating it clearly. After just a year my Dr. was amazed to report my
bone density had improved, and my overall health was enhanced. Darla keeps training fresh,
challenging, and enjoyable; and she is always supportive and encouraging. During this time of
sheltering I have been continuing my training sessions via Skype, and her eagle eye doesn’t
miss a thing…still correcting my form and pushing me to go beyond where I thought I could go.
Thank you doesn’t seem nearly enough for someone who got me back on a positive health track
that has enriched body, mind and spirit. But thank you anyway, Darla.
