Nutritional Support

Posted in Food, Health, Nutrition, Vitamins

How important is proper nutrition? Let’s start with the cardiovascular syste. It needs the B vitamins in balance to protect the heart by reducing homocysteine levels in the blood (homocysteine is a common amino acid found in the blood, high levels are related to early development of heart and blood vessel disease). Arteries and nerve fibers are benefitted from the necessary B vitamins. The B vitamins B3, B6, B12, and Biotin are also beneficial to metabolic health along with vitamin E, CoQ10, chromium, magnesium and zinc, to help with processing daily sugar/carbohydrate keeping systems responsive to insulin and restoring lost insulin reception.  Some sources of B Vitamins include, Beef, Brewer’s yeast, Chicken, Chick-peas, Eggs, Kidney bean, Navy beans, Brown rice, Whole wheat, Rye, Salmon, Sunflower seeds, Swiss Cheese, and Wheat germ….this blog to be continued.

“Darla is a great trainer and fitness coach. When I first became a client, I was recovering from a shoulder injury. She made sure my routine was appropriate and continued to coach me to greater levels of stamina and strength. And, the cool thing is that she truly cares about what I want to accomplish. Now four years later, my doctor informed me that my “age markers” were those of someone 20 years younger than my chronological age.”
