Cardio

I can offer fun cardio options as well as the traditional cardio machines. Cardio is important for the heart and lungs. Cardio is a great fat burner and is also what I use to get the body warmed up before strength and flexibility training.

Strength

No matter what you have done in your past in regard to strength training you will be challenged appropriately. Your safety is my number one concern. Proper form when weight training, even if you are using small dumbbells is the standard. I want you to be successful and strong without an injury.

I encourage all the muscles/groups to be trained for body balance. Pilates and calisthenics are great shaping and toning choices offered as well.

Flexibility

Flexibility is an important component of total fitness I have a good amount of yoga in my repertoire to be sure that adequate stretching is never overlooked. If you have ever had an injury then you know that strengthening and stretching go hand in hand for full recovery, they are also great prevention tools. You will feel so great after your stretch you may say… I’m ready to start again!


Though I attend several of her classes, where Darla truly shines is as a personal trainer and
health coach. She saw where I was, and helped me to get where I wanted to be, even though I
wasn’t sure I was communicating it clearly. After just a year my Dr. was amazed to report my
bone density had improved, and my overall health was enhanced. Darla keeps training fresh,
challenging, and enjoyable; and she is always supportive and encouraging. During this time of
sheltering I have been continuing my training sessions via Skype, and her eagle eye doesn’t
miss a thing…still correcting my form and pushing me to go beyond where I thought I could go.
Thank you doesn’t seem nearly enough for someone who got me back on a positive health track
that has enriched body, mind and spirit. But thank you anyway, Darla.
