Plan to Eat
Posted in HealthWith today’s very busy schedules it is almost a necessity to plan to eat. When we skip meals there is an uneven distribution of calories throughout the day. This deprives our body of the energy it needs to function properly. We need energy for our daily demands, and for the brain and organs to have what they need to continue their important jobs. Going long periods (more than 4 hours) can cause low blood sugar and delay insulin response, increasing your risk for diabetes. Other negative effects can include overeating because of extreme hunger, late night cravings and an increased desire for unhealthy foods. So plan to eat, take time to enjoy your food and remember food is information to the body. Do your body good by choosing healthful selections of fresh fruit, vegetables, lean meats and whole grains. All the things we have heard. Just Do It!
